Jenny Vannatter, Funeral Director and Embalmer - Emmerson-Bartlett
FDR #0000, Emb Lic. #0000

Jenny wanted to be a Funeral Director from the time she was nine years old. Growing up next door to a funeral home always drew her attention to the field. After high school, Jenny wrote a letter to all of the mortuaries in her town offering her time as a volunteer at night and on the weekends. Arlington Mortuary in Riverside was so touched by the letter that they called her in for an interview and hired her to direct funeral services, with pay. After a year at Arlington, they offered her an apprentice as an Apprentice Embalmer and worked with her schedule so that she could attend Cypress College and major in Mortuary Science.

During school, Jenny was Vice President of her class, and received scholarships from Orangebelt Funeral Directors Association and the California Funeral Directors Association. After graduation she stayed on with Arlington Mortuary for four more years and earned her Embalmers license, Funeral Directors license, and Pre-Need Insurance license.

Jenny was very honored to receive scholarships from Orange Belt and CFDA, so she started volunteering her time on their Boards and Committees. After serving on the board for two years for Orangebelt Funeral Directors Association, she was asked to serve a term as their Vice President, and is currently President of the organization. After two years on committees for California Funeral Directors Association, she was voted to serve on the Board of Directors and is currently starting her second year of a three year turn.

Jenny is married with two beautiful daughters, Isabella and Hayley. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and to sing Karaoke.
