Gamby Mortuary has a long heritage of service to the South Bay starting in 1936 with Albert Monroe Gamby and continuing after his death with his wife, Evabell Gamby. Donn and Irene McKnight had been with the mortuary since 1957 until their retirement in 1998.

Then, Karen McKnight-Sisneros (Donn McKnight's daughter), and Larry Hawkins purchased the mortuary, keeping the firm "family owned and operated". This stability means we will be here to serve you tomorrow, just like we have been for over 65 years. Terry Harmon and Jim Larkin purchased the funeral home in May 2006, with the understanding to continue the McKnight family owned tradition.

Our A.M. Gamby Funeral home has just completed an inside remodeling of the facilities. We have completely revamped the chapel with all new carpet, lighting, sound system, and even padded pews. We are continuing with the outside landscaping.

We have a viewing overflow room to give families the time they need. We have displayed some beautiful oil paintings and created the lighting to be the most comfortable as possible.
